Technological Education

Technological education focuses on the student's ability to use industry standard tools and equipment, materials and in-house technological resources to develop the skills and knowledge that directly relate to the world in which we live.

The focus is on developing students' ability to work creatively and competently with the technologies that are central to their lives. Each course uses activity driven based projects, allowing students to obtain the knowledge, skills, and experience necessary to thrive in today's society.

Grade nine students are introduced to the world of technology studies by combining theory with hands-on projects and help them prepare for senior technology studies.

Senior technological courses prepare students for specialized areas of study at the college level or for school-to-work transition. Subject areas of focus include Construction, Transportation, Hairstyling and Aesthetics.
